Welcome to Jaz Culinary!
I’m Jaz, an aspiring nutritionist, and a huge food lover currently living and studying in Melbourne. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Nutrition Science & a Bachelor of Business Administration and this has sparked my curiosity and creativity of making healthy recipes in the kitchen. However, because I love to try all different types of food and recipes, you won’t just be seeing healthy adaptions of foods- you will see all kinds!
My love of food is what began my interest in nutrition and health. I’ve always been fascinated with how the body works and how what we eat can affect us. So, it was a no-brainer to study Nutrition. I’m also a major foodie and have loved cooking since I was a kid so finding a career that incorporates food was perfect for me. I’m constantly thinking about my next meal and researching recipes and finding out how I can make it my own. On my days off, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen. I think it’s safe to say that if everything fails; I’ll always have my best friend food!
I believe in a balanced approach to food, eating lots of fruits and veggies, eating things in moderation, trying new foods and most importantly, eating what makes you happy. I find most salads boring and I’ll never say no to a cheese platter!
I also feel very passionate about the ways in which our food choices affect our health, and educating people about the significance’s of this, which is why I try to find healthy versions of our favourite classics. That way, you get to eat something you love while adding bonus nutrients into your body!
So I made this blog as a place for me to share my knowledge of health and nutrition and love of cooking as I learn, grow, and share my recipes.
I have dreams to write a cookbook but for now as I study and learn, I hope to inspire you to become healthier, to try new foods and become more creative in the kitchen!
