- Wholemeal flour is higher in fibre and is also rich in vitamins B-1, B-3, and B-5, along with riboflavin and folate.

Ingredients:
- 100g dark chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup rice bran syrup or organic maple syrup
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 1/2 cups wholemeal flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 cup (175g) pitted cherries
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Grease an 18cm x 28cm (base) rectangular slice pan. Line base and sides with baking paper, allowing a 2cm overhang on all sides.
- Place rice bran syrup, egg and oil into a large bowl and whisk until combined.
- Add salt and flour and mix until just combined, careful not to over-mix.
- Add cherries and chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.
- Bake for approximately 12-15 minutes or until edges are slightly golden.
- Let the blondies sit for 5-10 minutes until ready to eat.
